 A fairyland on earth--Yosemite

Yosemite was the last destination on our journey. It’s celebrated for its scenic beauty.

It took about six hours from Lake Tahoe to our destination. The dwelling place we stayed at Yosemite was a two-story building. It was the same as the other buildings where there was a airplane garage beside it. I guessed that these buildings were bought by the rich people who lived in California. When they spent their holidays, they would go there to stay. When the buildings were vacated, they were rented as hotels for the visitors to Yosemite.

While we were taking a walk around the place we stayed, we found a mini museum for airplanes. When seeing us, Linda, who was a guide , went toward us. I introduced myself, my son and the other three to her. She was so surprised to learn that my son was a MBA at such a young age, and also to her surprise, I could speak English. We gained the esteem of her. She asked us to take pictures together, then I left my comments to Yosemite on the visitors’ book in the museum.

We bought two pizzas in “Two Guys Pizza Pies” as our meal for dinner, and bought some vegetables, fruit, milk, thin pancakes and instant noodles as breakfast for next morning in the supermarket. A refrigerator, an induction cooker, a microwave oven, a coffeemaker, kitchenware and tableware were provided in the building. We could make meals ourselves with them.

During and after dinner, I watched a NBA game on TV live  with two boys, which was San Antonio Spurs vs Dallas Mavericks. Maybe you didn’t know that I am a sports fan. I like to watch almost all kinds of sports except boxing and wrestling.

Next morning we heated milk and thin pancakes with microwave oven. We put lettuces, shallot, hot sauce and sliced meat into pancakes. We drank milk and juice, and we ate pancakes. We had a very delicious Chinese and Western breakfast.

Yosemite National Park was surrounded by mountains, which were covered by lush and green trees. Waterfalls poured down from the summits of mountains, forming torrential streams at the bottom of the mountain, rolling thunderously down to it. It was a magnificent scenery.

Americans had very strong consciousness to environmental protection. Any rubbish could not seen in the park. Classified rubbish was put into different trash cans. Because of wasting too much water and paper in its daily life, the US was commented to be a great power in wasting natural resources.

When I was on the scene, I felt so relaxed and happy as if I became unmixed and natural just like green trees, streams and blue sky in Yosemite.
